Two decades after a deadly Long Island crash, an Indian national accused of fleeing the country has been extradited to Nassau County to face manslaughter charges, prosecutors said.
Ganesh Shenoy, 54, was arraigned Friday, Sept. 26, on second-degree manslaughter in connection with a high-speed crash that killed 44-year-old Philip Mastropolo in Hicksville in April 2005.

A Long Island man known for his kindness and passion for cycling is fighting to recover after a hit-and-run crash left him critically injured.
Kyle Briand, of Montauk, was riding his bike on the night of Sunday, Aug. 10, when he was struck by a driver who fled the scene, his sister Amanda Corwin wrote on a GoFundMe page.
The cyclist was rushed by ambulance to Amagansett, where he was met by a medevac and flown to Stony Brook Hospital’s Trauma Center. He remains in the Intensive Care Unit.

A DUI crash on Twin County Road in Caernarvon Township left a child and four others hospitalized, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Monday, Sept. 8.
The crash happened in front of 330 Twin County Road at 10:13 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, according to PSP Lancaster.

Woman Struck, Killed By Vehicle In Camden: Authorities
A woman was fatally struck by a vehicle in Camden on Sunday, Sept. 7, authorities said.
At 4:58 p.m., law enforcement responded to 17th Street and Route 30 and found a woman, who has not been identified, struck by a vehicle, Dan Keashen, director of public affairs for Camden County, said.
The woman was transferred to Cooper Medical Centre where she was pronounced dead, Keashen said.
The driver of the vehicle stayed on scene and the investigation is ongoing, authorities said.
