1,000 Gallons Of Date Rape Drug Found During Raid On Long Island Business, DA Says
Among the trove of illegal drugs and cash that were allegedly confiscated from a Long Island business was over one thousand gallons of a liquid commonly known as the “date rape drug,” prosecutors allege.
Matthew Leshinsky, age 23, of Levittown, was indicted on over a dozen drug charges in Suffolk County Court on Monday, July 3, following a raid on his business, Quantitative Laboratories, in Ronkonkoma.
It came nearly a month after Suffolk County Police officers were called to the facility on Pond Road at around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, with reports of a burglary.

Police are investigating a fatal overnight crash on Long Island.
It happened around 4:40 a.m. Saturday, June 17 in Commack.
A man was driving a 2023 Chevrolet pickup truck west on Vanderbilt Parkway, near Redleaf Lane, when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree, Suffolk County Police said.
The victim, identified as Edward Riley, age 58, of Ronkonkoma, who was alone in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452.
Drug Lab: Owner Busted Making Meth At Long Island Business, Police Say
A Long Island business owner is accused of operating a methamphetamine laboratory in the same building that houses his company.
Suffolk County Police officers were initially called at around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, with reports of a burglary at the Quantitative Laboratories, located in Ronkonkoma on Pond Road.
While searching the building for suspects, officers uncovered chemicals and equipment consistent with a methamphetamine operation, police said.
Investigators also reported finding solid and liquid methamphetamine, along with ketamine, cocaine, and $40,000 in cash.

Sobriety Checkpoint: 7 Charged During Overnight Detail In Patchogue
Seven people are facing charges after an overnight sobriety checkpoint at the start of the Memorial Day weekend on Long Island.
Authorities conducted the operation in Patchogue at the intersection of Waverly Avenue and North Service Road from around 11:10 p.m. Friday, May 26, until 2:30 a.m. Saturday, May 27.
