The victim, Martin Tiess, 57, of Mount Sinai, was walking with a bicycle on northbound Route 112 when he was struck by a northbound 2001 Suburban, according to police.  Tiess was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
