Route 202 reopened at 1:45 p.m. between Old Route 202 and Route 306 after being closed due to a car fire. Also in Ramapo, Camp Hill Road, between White Birch and Pomona Road remains closed due to damage from the quick moving thunderstorm Friday night, March 15. A man from Pomona has been charged following a graffiti incident near Route 202, police say. An eyewitness reported an incident of graffiti at 4 Depew Avenue in Nyack to Orangetown Police on Saturday, March 9 around 12:30 p.m. On-scene patrols received information from eyewitnesses that led to the identification of a suspect, 26-year-old Eugene Bush of Pomona. Suspect On Loose After Chase Bank Robbery In Pomona Shopping Center
Ramapo Police are working jointly with the FBI to investigate a robbery at the Chase Bank in Pomona. The incident took place Thursday afternoon, Jan. 24 around 5 p.m., at the bank located in the Pacesetter Shopping Center on Route 202. Ramapo police are not releasing any information except to say the center is open and businesses are accessible except the Chase Bank. The Chase ATM is available, police said. The suspect fled the area. No injuries were reported.

The identity of the pedestrian who was struck and killed by a police cruiser on Route 202 in Garnerville early Saturday morning has been released. The incident occurred just before dawn near the Mobil gas station at 109 W. Ramapo Road and involved a police car from the Haverstraw PD, whose headquarters is located at 101 W. Ramapo Road. ID Released For Man Killed In Route 202 Crash
The name of a 28-year-old man who was killed in a head-on crash on Route 202 on Monday. Private First Class Carl Bradford was the victim of the crash which occurred around 7 a.m. near 3655 Crompond Road in Yorktown, according to Col. Richard Goldenberg of the New York National Guard.
