Crash On Route 30 Leaves 2 Men Dead In Lancaster County
Two men died in a crash in the eastbound lanes of Route 30 on Sunday, according to police. The crash happened across both eastbound lanes of Route 30 between Stony Battery Road and Prospect Road Mountville around 2:30 a.m. The roadway remained closed for six hours. Both men were alone in their vehicles, which are reported to have been an SUV and a minivan. West Hempfield Township police are continuing to investigate. York County Coroner ID's Highway Suicide Victim
A York County man died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound while driving on Route 30 on Monday, as Daily Voice previously reported. David Pellegrino, 37, of the 200 block of Fleetwood Drive in Red Lion, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, according to the York County Coroner. A father of two, Pellegrino had recently started a job as a Manager of Process Mining at KPMG, according to his Facebook page. Man Commits Suicide While Driving On Rt. 30, York County Coroner Says
A 37-year-old man shot himself in the head while driving along Route 30 on Monday afternoon, according to the York County coroner. The man was driving on Route 30 near the Wrightsville exit when he appeared to lose control around 11:12 a.m. He made a sharp left turn-- crossing the median strip going over the exit ramp, coming to stop in a nearby field. Coroner IDs Body Found Behind Target In Lancaster
The human remains found behind a Target along Route 30 have been identified, according to the Lancaster County coroner. Gene Lamar Engle, 59, of Lancaster, was found behind the Target in East Lampeter Township on Wednesday June 9, according to the coroner. The autopsy was performed on June 11. His death is not thought to be suspicious and a toxicology report is pending before an official cause of death is made. The toxicology report is not expected for several weeks. Serious Storm Damage Closed Harrisburg Pike In Lancaster (Photos)
The heavy rain and winds closed Harrisburg Pike on Wednesday night, according to Manheim Township police. The high winds caused fallen trees and construction debris to be strewn throughout the area. Harrisburg Pike closed between Route 30 and Crossings Boulevard at the entrance to Wegman's in Long's Park until emergency crews could clean up the area. All northbound lanes of Route 222 were closed as of noon due to a rollover crash in Manheim Township Tuesday. The crash happened at 11:18 a.m. near Bushong Road, Manheim police said.
