Rollover Crash In Central Jersey Closes Route 35
First responders were called to a report of a serious crash in Monmouth County, authorities said. The rollover crash was reported about 11 a.m. on Route 35 near Woodland Drive in Middletown, according to initial reports. State transportation were called to the scene since the crash resulted in traffic lights and telephone poles down, reports said. Part of Route 35 also was closed. An unconfirmed report said the vehicle rolled over twice but that its occupants were not trapped. This is a developing news story. CHECK BACK FOR UPDATES

Philly Man, 42, Gets 19 Years In State Prison For $130K Central Jersey Cellphone Store Robbery
A Philadelphia man was sentenced to 19 years in state prison for his role in a 2016 robbery of an AT&T cellphone store in Monmouth County, authorities said. Anthony Clark, 42, was convicted of first-degree armed robbery in February after a five-week trial, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni said. Winning Lottery Tickets Sold In Ocean, Passaic Counties
A pair of winning lottery tickets were sold in Ocean and Passaic counties. Each ticket from Saturday's Jersey Cash 5 jackpot is worth $200,959. The winning numbers were 03, 17, 19, 24, and 36 and the XTRA number was 02. The tickets were sold at the following locations: Ocean County: Acme #295, Route 35 & 37, Ortley Beach Passaic County: Utopia Deli/Jackpocket, 355 Warwick Tpke., Hewitt. The retailers will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for each winning ticket sold.

OH BOY? Middletown Police Help Deliver Rush-Hour Baby
Middletown police helped deliver a rush-hour baby along Route 35 on Friday morning, authorities said. The baby was born about 8 a.m. in a car parked near Field Avenue, Middletown police said. "The baby is out. Breathing and crying," an initial report said. Motorcyclist Killed In Crash ID'd As Former Wall Township EMT
Authorities have identified the 26-year-old motorcyclist who died in a Wall Township crash. Kenneth B. Sosnowski, of Lavallette, lost control of the bike while on the ramp from Route 138 east to Route 35 north, Tuesday night, Wall police said. Sosnowski crashed around 10 p.m., and was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. According to his LinkedIn page, Sosnowski was a squad member of Wall's first aid squad from 2014 to 2018. A 34-year-old Monmouth County man was drunk when he plowed his SUV through the front window of a Dunkin’ Donuts in Old Bridge -- then tried to flee on foot, authorities said. Water Search Continues For Missing Jersey Shore Kayaker
Authorities continued a search Friday for a Burlington County kayaker who apparently couldn’t get back to land before a storm hit the Jersey Shore. Nadem Aksoy, 50, of Bordentown and a friend were fishing in their kayaks on the Navesink River in Monmouth County when the storm blew in around midnight, his brother, Mujdad, told News 12. A Wall Township man drove around town shattering car windows with a slingshot, said police who arrested him. Officer Chris Mason arrested Mark Shatkus, 35, Tuesday night after he smashed the rear passenger window of one driver on Allaire Road and the front passenger window of another on Belmar Boulevard near Route 35 using steel and glass projectiles, police said Wednesday in a statement. A local driver was under the influence of a combination of drugs -- including fentanyl and cocaine -- when his vehicle struck and killed an 80-year-old pedestrian in Lavallette last fall, authorities said.
