Firefighters Free Driver In Englewood Crash
Englewood firefighters extricated the driver of an SUV that hit a parked vehicle and landed on its side. The Honda CRV coincidentally struck another CRV before topping on Van Nostrand Avenue between Broad and Grand avenues just off westbound Route 4 around 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 25. The driver was checked out and cleared by EMS.

Tinted windows, bogus plates, no registration or insurance -- one of the only things that could've made a Paramus police traffic stop worse for an out-of-state driver was having drugs or a gun in the car. A fleeing shoplifter was struck and injured running across Route 4 in River Edge, authorities said. Jaime Rojas, a 35-year-old repeat offender from Bloomfield, was standing at the bus shelter on the westbound side of the highway around 5:45 p.m. Thursday when police investigating a shoplifting at the nearby CVS spotted him, River Edge Police Chief Michael Walker said. Authorities ID Motorcyclist Killed In Route 4 Crash With Deer
Authorities on Wednesday released the identity of the motorcyclist killed in Monday's Route 4 crash in Teaneck. Albert Spechar, of River Vale, struck a deer while heading east at Teaneck Road just before 5:45 a.m., Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
