A 31-year-old New Jersey man wanted out of Pennsylvania was arrested after he was found with a stolen car and then led officers on a foot pursuit over the weekend, police said. Robert Hollingsworth, who was charged in Easton, PA with car theft last year, became the center of an investigation in Fairfield (Essex County), NJ, on Saturday, March 30, when police were notified of a stolen green Kia Soul stolen out of Passaic three days prior, Fairfield police said in a release. Man Busted With Loaded Handgun During Route 46 Traffic Stop: Police
A 48-year-old Port Murray man was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a handgun following a traffic stop in Mount Olive on Saturday, March 23, authorities said. Pavel Molina was heading east on Route 46 in a Nissan pickup in Mount Olive when police stopped him for a non-functioning headlight around 11 p.m., Mount Olive police said. A Garfield ex-con was caught with a gun during a Little Ferry police stop just two days after he was released from prison, authorities said. Nazir R. Halloway, 26, spent a mandatory one year behind bars coincidentally after pleading guilty last year to unlawful possession of a handgun, records show. Truck Crashes Into Car On Route 46: State Police
A passenger vehicle crashed into a truck on Route 46 in Warren County on the early morning of Friday, March 15, authorities said. At 4:22 a.m., a tractor trailer was making a right turn from a parking lot onto Route 46 West in Knowlton Township when it crossed over the solid lines and crashed into the front of a car traveling eastbound, Troy McNair, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. There were minor injuries, McNair said. The crash remains under investigation, McNair said.

A 19-year-old motorcyclist was killed and his 19-year-old passenger injured in a crash on Route 46 in Totowa. A 35-year-old Paterson man was arrested in Fairfield on Tuesday, Feb. 26 after he stole a car and $545 worth of items from Walgreens, police said. A lone gunman committed back-to-back-to-back armed gas station robberies less than 10 miles apart in Bergen and Passaic counties Monday afternoon, authorities said. The attendant was pistol-whipped at a Valero on northbound Route 17 just before Route 46 in Hasbrouck Heights shortly before 3 p.m. Feb. 5, responders said. Two Injured After Dump Truck Collides With Car In Warren County:

Two people were injured after a car collided with a dump truck on Route 46 and County Road 519 in Warren County on Thursday, Feb. 1, authorities said. At 3:48 p.m., state troopers responded to the scene in White Township and found a Dodge Journey had crashed into a Freightliner dump truck, Detective Jeffrey LeBron said. The driver and passenger of the Dodge sustained minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital, LeBron said. The crash remains under investigation, LeBron said.
