Spring Valley Man Hid More Than 300 Pills In Blue Gloves
A Spring Valley was busted with more than 300 Endocet pills stuffed in blue gloves during a traffic stop on Route 59, according to a Spring Valley Police. Jefferson Denizard was arrested being stopped around 1:12 a.m. Wednesday for driving with a suspended license when the officer smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle, said Officer Matthew Galli. During a search of Denizard, officers found the 362 pills stuffed inside three blue plastic gloves, Galli said. He was also found to be in possession of marijuana. Many in the Hudson Valley are mourning the death of the man who was believed to be the world's oldest rabbi. Monsey residents can expect road closures and heavy traffic as thousands gather early Friday afternoon for the funeral of Rabbi Mordechai Hager, who died at the age of 95. Man Sentenced For Road Rage Death Of Baby In Rockland
A man who crashed his car, killing a 3-month-old boy during a road rage incident in Monsey last summer has been sentenced to one-and-a-third to four years in state prison, according to the Rockland County District Attorney's Office. Albert Gomez, 63, of Spring Valley ran over the child, Mayer Braun, his 38-year old mother and his two sisters, as they were walking along the westbound shoulder of Route 59 when he became angry at a taxi driver in traffic and passed on the vehicle on the passenger side, police said. A Greenwood Lake man who refused to submit to a breathalyzer test on Route 59 during a late-night traffic stop was arrested for driving while intoxicated in Nyack. Officers from the Orangetown Police Department on patrol in Nyack stopped Kevin Emsworth, Jr., 20, shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday morning on Route 59 for a vehicle and traffic law violation.
