Driver Airlifted When Tractor Trailer Overturns On Route 78
The driver of a tractor trailer was airlifted to the hospital after he lost control of his tractor trailer overturned on Route 78 earlier this week. The driver apparently lost control of the vehicle on the westbound side near milepost 28.5 in Bedminster around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Philip Curry said. Despite suffering only minor injuries, the driver was flown to Morristown Medical Center, Curry said. The right and center lanes of the highway were closed for five hours. The crash remains under investigation.

Tractor Trailer Crash Closes Portion Of Route 78
A tractor trailer crash closed a portion of Route 78 in Somerset County during rush hour Monday, Oct. 17. The trailer overturned on the eastbound side of the highway on the Exit 36 ramp in Warren Township around 7:15 a.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Charles Marchan said. The driver was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation and there was no additional information available.

A 3-month-old baby was seriously hurt in a Route 78 crash over the weekend, authorities said. A Mercedes Benz heading west in the local lanes struck the back of a Nissan Rogue near mile marker 53.1 in Union Township around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Driver Hospitalized Following 2-Car Crash On Route 78 In Hunterdon County: State Police
A driver was taken to a nearby hospital following a two-car crash on Route 78 in Hunterdon County, state police confirmed. The vehicles collided and one of them overturned in the westbound lanes near exit 17 in Clinton around 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, NJSP Sgt. Alejandro Goez told DailyVoice.com. One person died and another airlifted in a crash with a tractor-trailer on Route 78 in Hunterdon County Thursday, May 26, authorities said.
