State Police: Bronx Duo Found With 10K In Heroin, Cash, Marijuana On Route 78
Two men from the Bronx had about $10,000 worth of heroin, $1,000 in cash and $250 of marijuana when they were stopped on Route 78 in Hunterdon County Sunday morning, State Police said.
Raymond Mercado, 22, was stopped for a violation while driving westbound on Route 78 in Union Township near milepost 12.2 just after 9:30 a.m., authorities said.
During the stop, officers discovered that Mercado and his passenger, Corey Sapp, 21, had approximately $250 of marijuana in their possession, authorities said.

U.S. Marshals Help Nab NY Man Accused Of Strangling Woman On Union County Highway
A New York City driver accused of strangling a woman on a Union County highway then was arrested nearly three weeks after the incident, authorities said.
Ian Mosley, 32, of New York, NY, was driving on Route 78 when he assaulted the victim after a disagreement on July 28 around 6:50 a.m., New Jersey State Police said.
The woman called 9-1-1 and troopers from Troop B in Somerville found her at milepost 51, inside a car with injuries to her neck, face and arms, State Police said.

Maplewood Realtor, 29, Killed In Fiery Route 78 Tractor-Trailer Crash
A 29-year-old real estate agent from Maplewood died after he rear-ended a tractor-trailer on Route 78, State Police said.
Kadeem R. Buckham was heading eastbound in a BMW when he slammed into a Volvo tractor-trailer near milepost 52.6 in Union around 3 a.m. Wednesday, State Trooper Charles Marchan said.
Both vehicles went up in flames killing Buckham, whose passenger, Tamu I. Waluye 28, of Maplewood, sustained minor injuries, Marchan said.
The tractor-trailer driver, Dorel Gherman, 57, of Citrus Heights, California, was uninjured, Marchan said.
