A man has been charged with DWAI after police say he was involved in a two-vehicle crash on Route 9W.
Orangetown Police say they responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident in the area of 908 State Route 9W in the hamlet of Upper Grandview on Saturday, Sept. 28 around 11 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers located a 2019 Subaru with damage to its front end and a 2017 Honda with rear-end damage, police say.

A motorcycle rider was killed after being hit by an SUV on Route 9W, said the Haverstraw Police.
The crash took place around 741 p.m., Monday, April 8, in the area of 34 North Route 9W in the Village of West Haverstraw, said Haverstraw Police Capt. Martin Lund.
According to Lund, the crash occurred when the motorcycle driver, Jolexis Jaramillo, 27, of New York City, who was traveling south on Route 9W, was hit by an SUV pulling onto Route 9W to travel northbound.

A 79-year-old area man was killed during a single-vehicle crash with the car slamming into a vacant home in Highland.
The unidentified Ulster County man was killed around 11:20 a.m., Friday, April 5, on Route 9W in Highland, said Town of Lloyd Police Lt. James Janso.
