Pickup Truck Bursts Into Flames After Crash At I-684/Saw Mill Junction
This story has been updated. Smoke was sent billowing through the air when a pickup truck became fully engulfed in flames at the merger of I-684 and the Saw Mill River Parkway on Thursday morning. First responders were dispatched at approximately 11 a.m. to I-684, at the Saw Mill River Parkway juncture near exit 43 in Katonah, where there was a multi-vehicle crash that left one car in flames near the guardrail of the southbound lanes. Brush Fire Off Saw Mill Parkway Takes Hours To Contain
A multi-acre brush fire that broke out Saturday afternoon off of the Saw Mill River Parkway in Chappaqua took nearly four hours to contain. Nearly a dozen local fire departments joined the Chappaqua Fire Department in responding after the blaze broke out at around 3 p.m. in the area on the hillside along the parkway behind Spring Lane. For the second time in a few days, the Westchester County Police Department's Real Time Crime Center and patrol officers teamed up to recover a stolen car and take two suspects into custody.
