Scholarship Awarded To Rockland Student, Volunteer Firefighter
The Firemen’s Association of the State of New York has awarded the 2018 FASNY Gerard J. Buckenmeyer Volunteer Scholarship to a student from Rockland County. Hospital Scholarships Awarded To Area High School Graduates
NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital's auxiliary awarded five local high school students with scholarships for their academic achievements, display of character and level of commitment to study in the field of healthcare. Suspect In Fatal Stabbing Of Teen Who Aspired To Be Cop Nabbed In CT
The latest suspect in the fatal stabbing of a 15-year-old New York City boy and aspiring police officer was apprehended by Connecticut State Police on Monday. At approximately 2:36 p.m., troopers from Troop A-Southbury conducted a motor vehicle stop on I-84 eastbound near exit 13 in Southbury. Several people were in the vehicle, however, the operator was considered the 12th suspect in the Bronx homicide of Lesandro "Junior" Guzman-Feliz, Connecticut State Police said. Yorktown HS Student-Athletes Sign College Letters Of Intent
Six Yorktown High School student-athletes signed letters of intent recently to play sports at their chosen colleges, bringing the total number of athletes from Yorktown who will play on Division I and II teams next year to 18.
