Michael F. Plotkin has been named the new principal at Croton-Harmon’s Pierre Van Cortlandt Middle School, effective July 1. Bowl For Port Chester Scholarships: Byron Womack Fundraiser This Weekend
Friends, students and teaching associates of Byron Womack, a very popular assistant principal at Port Chester Middle School, have organized a singles bowling tournament in his memory. Womack was found dead on Feb. 20 at the age of 48 of natural causes. All proceeds from the bowling tournament will go to the Byron Womack Scholarship Fund. Staples High Admins Failed To Act When Students Reported Sex Assault
Four Staples High School students said school administrators failed to act when they reported sexual assault from another student, the Connecticut Post reports. During a Board of Education meeting Monday, one student said the four of them reported the abuser together and were told by the administration to not make school a "hostile environment" for him, the article says.
