Reports of an armed man brought lockdown and shelter-in-place orders to two Hamilton schools Wednesday morning, police said. Hamilton Police responded to Nottingham High School on Klockner Avenue after receiving reports of a male with a weapon walking toward the building shortly before 8:25 a.m. The high school was put under a lockdown while Crockett Middle School was put under a shelter-in-place order, police said. Three students are expected to face charges for making a fake bomb threat and forcing two schools in central Massachusetts on lockdown, authorities said. No Gun, No Arrest After Charlestown High School Placed On Lockdown: Report
After authorities initially thought that the presence of a gun prompted a lockdown at a Boston-area high school, that turned out to not be the case. Boston Police responded to a report of a person with a gun near a Charlestown High School around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25, WCVB reports.
