Three Make Off With $8K, Mercedes After Fairfield County Home Invasion, Police Say Three people are on the run after allegedly stealing a safe with more than $8K in it and a Mercedes-Benz during a home invasion. The incident took place in Fairfield County on Saturday, July 31 on Palmer Street, in Bridgeport, said Scott Appleby, the city’s director of emergency communications and emergency management. According to Appleby, three men, all wearing ski masks and armed with guns, entered the home and took the 2018 white Mercedes E43 and a safe with $8,000 in it. The investigation is ongoing. Bridgeport Police is asking the public for help locating Ricardo Garcia, age 41, of Bridgeport, who they say is responsible for the stabbing death of a man around 3:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 20 on Whitney Avenue. Person Found Dead, Stabbed Mulitple Times In Fairfield County, Police Say Police are investigating a fatal stabbing that happened overnight in Fairfield County. Officers responded to the 100th block of Whitney Avenue in Bridgeport around 3:40 a.m., Tuesday, July 20. Once on the scene, officers found the victim who had been stabbed multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene, said Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management. Dondre Nesmith, age 25, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Thursday, July 15, by the Bridgeport Police, for the Monday, July 12 murder of Javier Flores.
