27-Year-Old Man Killed In Alcohol-Fueled Rockingham County Crash: State Police
A 27-year-old man died in a Rockingham County crash that police say may have involved alcohol. Justin L. McGuire, of New Market, was heading north on Route 11/North Valley Pike when he crossed the centerline in a Toyota Tacoma, ran off the roadway and struck a tree around 2:10 a.m. Thursday, May 30, Virginia State Police said. McGuire, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. Alcohol is considered a factor in the crash, police said. The crash remains under investigation.

A 25-year-old Biglerville mom was killed and her infant daughter was medevaced following a two-vehicle crash on Memorial Day, Pennsylvania State Police in Adams County announced on Thursday, May 30. 22-Year-Old Dead In Head-On Christmas Crash: Virginia State Police
A 22-year-old man died in a head-on crash in Rockhingham County on Christmas, Virginia State Police said. Garcia F. Hernandez was heading north on Route 11 (N. Valley Pike) in a 2015 Subaru Legacy when he crossed over the center line and struck a 2004 GMC Envoy head-on around 12:10 p.m. Monday, Dec. 25, VSP Sgt. Brent Coffey said. Motorist Driving Nearly 100 MPH Among 88 Ticketed In Latest I-684 Detail
A motorist was busted driving nearly 100 mph in the rain on Wednesday, during a special police detail on I-684 in Westchester. New York State Police troopers dished out dozens of tickets in Bedford, including 67 for speeding during the detail. One motorist was clocked going 99 mph on I-684 during the storms that hit the area. In total, 88 summons were issued. The latest detail comes on the heels of two conducted by state police in the past week, when they dished out more than 150 tickets for distracted driving, speeding, failure to wear a seatbelt and other violations.
