Busy Area Street Reopens After Report Of Shots Fired A busy area roadway has reopened following a report of shots fired in the area, police said. The incident took place around 11:19 a.m., Wednesday, March 20, when City of Poughkeepsie police received several 911 reports of shots fired in the area of 82 Washington St., said Det. Lt. Matt Clark. Responding officers located several shell casings in the middle of the road, as of this time there are no victims, Clark said.  Witnesses in the area reported they thought the shots came from a passing vehicle, but no one could give a description of the vehicle the shots were …

Police Investigating Report Of Shots Fired In Northern Westchester State police are on the scene of a report of shots fired in the Cortlandt area. The incident took place around 9:30 a.m. Friday at 101 Dogwood Road according to a 911 call made to New York State Police, said Trooper AJ Hicks, "We have troopers are on scene but the person who made the 911 call is not being cooperative," said  Hicks. Shots Fired At Westchester Home, Police Say New York State Police are on the scene after a report of shots fired at a home in Westchester. The shots were fired at Meadowview Lane in Somers around 4:05 p.m. Friday, state police said.  A bullet was reportedly fired through a window, but officers had just arrived on the scene and could not confirm if the house was hit or anyone was injured.  This is a developing story. Police Investigate Gunshots Fired At House In Wallkill Detectives are investigating a series of gunshots that rang out on a local roadway and struck an Orange County residence. Shortly after 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 13, officers from the Wallkill Police Department were dispatched to a Langston Mews home in Middletown, where there was a report of “shots fired” in the street in front of the property. Police said that investigators determined that an unknown number of shots were fired on the street and that several of the rounds struck the Langston Mews home. No injuries were reported.
