Two Nabbed For DWI In Putnam Stops The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department has been busy of late, busting a pair of motorists who were allegedly operating their vehicles under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Putnam County Sheriff Robert Langley, Jr. announced the arrests of 40-year-old Danbury resident Karla Gomes and 33-year-old Shrub Oak resident Peter Cancro, who were busted for driving under the influence by the department in the past week. Man, 21, Killed In Crash Near Yorktown Police Headquarters A 21-year-old man was killed after driving into a utility pole in an early morning crash on Route 202 near Yorktown Police Headquarters. Police are investigating the crash that took the life of Yorktown resident Alexander Delic, who was killed in a one-vehicle crash at approximately 3:30 a.m. Saturday. Delic was pronounced dead upon the arrival of first responders. The crash is actively being investigated.
