Somerset Mom Joyce Nuñez Dies At 33 After Rare Cancer Battle
A New Jersey community is mourning the loss of Joyce Yvette Nuñez, who died Thursday, Sept. 11, at 33 years old, according to her obituary on the Bronson & McNamara Memorial Home website.
Joyce, of Somerset, was diagnosed last year with rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer that typically affects children but, in her case, was found in the uterus, according to a GoFundMe created by her husband, Dennis Nuñez.

A Somerset man was seriously injured in a crash involving a disabled car on I-287 early Sunday, Aug. 31, New Jersey State Police said.
Troopers responded at 3:41 a.m. to the southbound lanes near milepost 34.5 in Morris Township, according to Sgt. Charles Marchan.
A preliminary investigation found that a Toyota passenger car driven by a 49-year-old Somerset man left the roadway to the right, struck an arrow board, re-entered traffic, and became disabled, Marchan said.

A 20-year-old man was killed and his passenger critically injured in a three-vehicle crash on Route 1 on Friday, Aug. 8, authorities said.
