Family Escapes Fire That Destroys Home In Central Jersey A South Brunswick family is safe after escaping a fire that destroyed their home. South Brunswick police responded at 7:45 p.m. Saturday to a report of a home on fire at 4 Beryl Court in the Kendall Park section of the Township.  Upon arrival, officers and firefighters observed heavy flames at the rear of the home.  The homeowner said he was able to get his wife, two sons, and pets out of the home before police arrived.  He explained he was outside his home when he noticed smoke from the rear of his ranch-style home. ORIGINAL STORY: South Brunswick Police Department are investigating a missing person.  William Koerner was last seen walking toward McDonald's on Route 1 on Wednesday, May 1, at 9:30 p.m.  Police did not release his age. He was last seen wearing a white crewneck sweatshirt, a black jacket, and grey work pants, police said. Motorcyclist Killed In Route 1 Crash, 2nd Fatal In Same Day In South Brunswick Two people were killed in separate crashes in South Brunswick including a motorist from South River and a motorcyclist from Pennsylvania, authorities said. At 5:56 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, officers were alerted to a single-car crash on Route 535.  The preliminary investigation shows a Nissan Maxima, operated by a 65-year-old man from South River, left the roadway and struck a utility pole. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and his identity is being withheld until notification is made to next of kin.  The investigation is still active and anyone with information is asked…
