21-Year-Old CT Resident Killed In Maine Crash
A 21-year-old Connecticut man was killed in a crash in Maine. Hartford County resident Zachary Swain, of Southington and Marlborough, New Hampshire, died around 6:30 p.m., Friday, May 3, on the Maine Turnpike. According to Shannon Moss, spokeswoman for the Maine State Police, troopers responded to the area of mile marker 32 southbound on the Maine Turnpike for a motorcycle crash. A 23-year-old was killed in an overnight crash in Connecticut. It happened in Hartford County just before 11 p.m. Saturday, May 4, in Windsor. Connecticut State Police said a 2024 Kawasaki was traveling northbound on I-91 south of Exit 36 when, for an unknown reason, it veered to the left and struck a median concrete barrier. A Connecticut woman is accused of allegedly running over a kitten on purpose after she dumped a cat and the kitten in a busy shopping center parking lot, police say. A 25-year-old Connecticut man has been charged with allegedly strangling an associate to death. Litchfield County resident Brian Seholm, of Torrington, was charged on Thursday, Jan, 11, with the April 2023 death of Hartford County resident Dominick Francischelli, age 55, of Southington.
