Quamel Hawkins, 26, of Fredericksburg, was a passenger in the vehicle driven by Jaquan Mincy, 23, of Spotsylvania, when a Fredericksburg police officer stopped them on Tuesday, Sept. 26 on Fall Hill Avenue, FXB police said.

A 28-year-old Fredericksburg bicyclist who tried outrunning police was wanted out of Spotsylvania, authorities in Stafford said.
Alexander Atkinson has been charged with four counts of obstruction of justice, possession of controlled substances, possession of paraphernalia, public intoxication, as well as, riding a bicycle without headlights or reflectors, Stafford County Sheriff David Decatur said.
Atkinson caught the attention of a deputy around 9:40 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, while on Truslow Road because he had no lights or reflectors, Decatur said.

Tens of thousands of dollars worth of fentanyl never made it to the streets in Virginia after a group of 19 year olds attempted to flee from police in Spotsylvania, authorities announced on Sunday.
The three tried to pull a fast one on officers, officials said, when members of the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office sought to conduct a traffic stop when they were speeding on an interstate without a proper front license plate.

Sheriff's Officer Charged With DUI In Off-Duty Spotsylvania Crash
A Spotsylvania Sheriff's Officer lost his job after he drove drunk and crashed while off-duty last week, authorities said.
William Nathaniel Campbell, who was hired in January 2023, had crashed his vehicle on Leavells Road near Battlefield Elementary School on Thursday, Aug. 24, at 8 p.m., and a citizen called police, Sheriff Roger Harris said.
Responding deputies immediately noticed a strong odor of alcohol and unsteadiness. Campbell, who was off-duty and in his personal vehicle, was subsequently arrested.
