A drunken Wawa customer's own clumsiness landed him behind bars over the weekend in Stafford, authorities said. Xavien Washington caught the attention of people inside the Wawa store on Butler Road in Fredericksburg around 4:35 a.m. on Sunday, May 12, after dropping his firearm on the floor while stumbling around in the business, Stafford County Sheriff David Decatur said. A 19-year-old driver going 100 mph was eventually found by police after running from them in Stafford, and blamed the ordeal on a "rough day." Timothy Garrett's Mercedes was spotted by a deputy along Warrentown Road and Plantation Drive going more than 100 mph around 9:10 p.m. on April 30, the sheriff's office said. Police have announced the arrest of a bank robber wanted in incidents in both Stafford and Prince William County. A 34-year-old Stafford man arrested for driving under the influence was missing a tire when authorities spotted him on the I-95 ramp over the weekend, police said. A 35-year-old man with multiple warrants was arrested in Virginia after what he called a game of "Drunk Monopoly." A multi-vehicle crash caused heavy delays along I-95 in northern Virginia on Friday morning, April 19. The VDOT site says the northbound crash happened near milepost 147.5 in Stafford, right behind the Stafford/Quantico Courtyard Marriott.
