Two Arrested During 28-Store Putnam Underage Drinking Detail
In an effort to cut down on underage drinking, the New York State Police conducted an underage drinking enforcement operation in Putnam County. Twenty-eight stores across spread across Brewster, Carmel and Patterson were checked on Friday using a minor to attempt to purchase alcohol along with plainclothes investigators and backed-up by uniformed troopers, said Trooper AJ Smith. Twenty-seven store clerks refused to complete the sale of alcohol to the minor, he said.
