A New York man accused of stealing a trailer and then selling it on Facebook Marketplace has been arrested, state police announced Thursday, May 28.
Joaquin A. Noa Dos Santos, 23, of Albany, was charged with third-degree grand larceny and third-degree possession of stolen property, New York State Police said.
The trouble began on Oct. 5, 2024, when an Oswego County resident purchased the trailer from Dos Santos for more than $3,000 at a meeting in North Greenbush, authorities said.

A Long Island man was tied to a brutal carjacking and murder because he was hit by a car and dropped the stolen keys, authorities said Thursday, May 21.
Jason Butt-Champagne, 25, was indicted Thursday in the death of Donald Klune in a Deer Park robbery, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office said.
Butt-Champagne, of West Babylon, yanked Klune out of his car and stole it on Dec. 11, 2024, on Brook Avenue, police said. Klune, a 65-year-old amputee with one leg, was left defenseless as Butt-Champagne punched and kicked him on the ground, investigators said.

Two people were arrested and charged following a narcotics investigation in Egg Harbor City, authorities announced Tuesday, April 21.
Officers executed a search warrant a residence on the 500 block of St. Louis Avenue on Friday, April 17, Egg Harbor City police said. Kody Ryan, 37, and Jamie Winters, 43, were arrested, police said.
They were charged with possession of a handgun, possession with intent to distribute controlled dangerous substances and four counts of receiving stolen property, police said.

Police in Rockland County say they found several stolen packages as part of an ongoing investigation into a string of thefts at a local residential complex.
The Haverstraw Police Department said on Saturday, April 11, that they began looking into reports of packages being taken from several buildings within the complex, which was not named.
