A man from the region was nabbed for allegedly stealing a vehicle after fleeing from state police. The incident began in Putnam County on Wednesday, Jan. 31 in Brewster on westbound I-84 after New York State Police spotted a vehicle matching the description of a suspect involved in a hit-and-run crash. A 14-year-old who was killed in a CT crash in an alleged stolen vehicle has been identified by police. Novelle Nesmith of Hartford died about an hour after being hospitalized following the 1:30 p.m. crash on Sunday, Jan. 14, in Hartford County in Wethersfield.
