For the second time in a few days, the Westchester County Police Department's Real Time Crime Center and patrol officers teamed up to recover a stolen car and take two suspects into custody. The latest incident occurred Sunday evening when a detective in the Real Time Crime Center determined that a yellow taxi cab being driven on the Saw Mill River Parkway was a stolen vehicle. A 44-year-old man driving a stolen car led Greenwich police on a chase early Tuesday through town before crashing into the yard of a home in Old Greenwich, according to the Greenwich police. Deria Mohamud, of Unionville, was arrested after police stopped him around 3 a.m. after seeing a "suspicious" vehicle driving down a dead-end street in Riverside at Chapel Lane, police said. A 27-year-old man and a juvenile were arrested following a high-speed chase on I-95 in a stolen car by Connecticut State Troopers. Troopers from Troop G in Bridgeport were conducting a speed enforcement on I-95 near Milford around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, when they observed a black Honda Accord traveling at a high rate of speed, Trooper Kelly Grant said. An ex-con who once swiped an off-duty sheriff's officer's car was one of two men nabbed by Paramus police after an overnight stolen car chase. As Daily Voice originally reported, 30-year-old Shakir Curry was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer after he and fellow Newark resident Jaquan Summer, 25, were chased down before dawn Sunday. A Bridgeport man took police in Norwalk on a wild chase after attempting to flee from a motor vehicle crash, fleeing on foot and resisting arrest before being brought into custody.
