Kristen Prentice, 35, of West Main Street, was arrested around 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, after an officer on routine patrol was stopped by a passing motorist who saw a woman knocking out the windows of a van in front of a home on West Main Street, said Lt. Jose Negron of Stony Point was arrested around 1:30 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 29 during a traffic stop for speeding and crossing the double yellow line on West Main Street in Stony Point, said Lt. Man Threatens Victim With Handgun In Stony Point Dispute, Police Say A Garnerville man is facing charges after an alleged domestic disturbance led to violent threats, according to Stony Point Police. Officers were called to the area around Ridgetop Drive in Tomkins Cove just before 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 3. A man involved in the dispute said that the defendant, Branden Williams, 27, allegedly revealed a handgun and made threats, although he wasn’t involved in the dispute himself. Phillip DeSimone, 43, was arrested around 1 p.m. Wed., Oct. 31, for grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property after stealing a relative's credit card to make unauthorized purchases in Haverstraw, said Stony Point Police Lt. Suspicious White Powder At ATM Closes Rockland County Bank A Rockland bank is closed while the Sheriff's Office hazmat team investigates a suspicious white powder found at an ATM machine, Stony Point Police said. The powder was found around 1:33 p.m. Tuesday on the counter of the ATM machine outside the Chase Bank located at 22 S. Liberty Drive, the police department said. Agents with the Rockland County Sheriff's Office Hazmat Team are testing the powder, police said. Tomkins Cove Man Nabbed With Pills, No License, Police Say A 54-year-old area man was arrested for alleged possession of drugs after being stopped for an unsecured license plate.  Eric Halstead, of Tomkins Cove, was arrested Friday, Aug. 10 when a Stony Point Police officer stopped him on Bayview Drive after noticing an unsecured rear license plate, said Lt. Daniel Hylas. Upon further investigation, police found that Halstead was driving with a revoked license and was in possession of 8.5 alprazolam pills, which were located in an unmarked pill bottle, Hylas said.
