East Fishkill Supervisor Updates Residents On Storm Aftermath
Progress is slow, but steady in East Fishkill, as one of the hardest hit areas from Tuesday’s storm continues to clean up downed power trees, power lines and debris. Central Hudson has given a global restoration - 90 percent - time of 10 p.m. on Friday, May 18, with 100 percent power restoration expected by 10 p.m. on Saturday. A local man is facing a weapons charge after being busted by police in East Fishkill with an illegal handgun while he was the passenger of a car stopped for a routine violation in Stormville. An officer from the East Fishkill Police Department conducted a traffic stop at approximately 6 p.m. on Monday night in Stormville, when the 26-year-old Fishkill woman driving the vehicle committed an undisclosed violation. As Poughquag native Ron Casey Jr. neared the end of his life, he requested only one thing: The safety and security of his two boys, Colin and Henry. The community has made that wish come true, raising nearly $70,000 as of Sunday evening on a GoFundMe for the pair. Their father died on March 8 surrounded by family at 42 years old. Stormville Woman, 35, Charged In String Of February Burglaries
An investigation launched by East Fishkill police detectives into several Stormville home burglaries led to the arrest of a 35-year-old Dutchess County woman who was taken into custody on Wednesday. The East Fishkill Police Department announced the arrest of Stormville resident Fayth Lampert, who was charged with three felony counts of second-degree burglary in connection to the investigation into burglaries that occurred int he Leetown Road and Cherry Lane area of town. A 28-year-old woman is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly attempting to bring several drugs into the Green Haven Correctional Facility in Stormville.
