Jackpot: Egg Harbor Township Supermarket Sells $165K+ Lotto Ticket
A lottery ticket worth more than $165,000 was purchased at an Atlantic County supermarket, officials said.
The winner was sold at the ShopRite on English Creek Avenue in Egg Harbor Township, the New Jersey Lottery said in a news release on Thursday, Oct. 24.
The ticket that brought home the $165,867 jackpot matched all five numbers in the Jersey Cash 5 drawing on Wednesday, Oct. 23.
The winning numbers were 7, 11, 26, 37, and 45. The XTRA number was 2 and the Bullseye number was 7.

A new 24-hour-a-day supermarket is opening in the Hudson Valley, focusing on everything fresh.
The Garden Fresh Market, located in Rockland County in Spring Valley, will have its soft opening on Wednesday, Oct. 23, and its grand opening on Saturday, Oct. 26, said owner Wilson Bermeo of New City.
This will be the fourth supermarket for Bermeo, who immigrated from Ecuador in 1995 to live the American Dream.

A Red Bank man admitted to recording upskirt videos of more than two dozen women and girls, including some in their homes, authorities said.
Christopher Cox, 35, pleaded guilty on Friday, Oct. 4 to second-degree eluding police, two counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, and three counts of third-degree invasion of privacy. Orange Man Convicted In Fatal Shooting Outside ShopRite: Prosecutor
A 37-year-old man was convicted on Wednesday, Oct. 2, of fatally shooting a man outside a ShopRite supermarket in East Orange in 2022, authorities said.
On June 3, 2022, police in East Orange responded to the ShopRite supermarket on Main Street and found the body of Melja Oliver lying on the side of the building, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens, II said.
