Massachusetts Man, 21, Dies Day After Pulled From North Shore Lake
A young man who was pulled from a lake on the North Shore has died a day later, authorities said.
Maynor Salas Lopez, age 21, of Lynn, was pulled from Silver Lake in Breakheart Reservation in Saugus around 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 17, Massachusetts State Police said.
After performing CPR on Lopez, he was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. He died the next morning, police said.
Lopez was apparently swimming with his family when he started to struggle in the water, authorities said. The incident remains under investigation.
Pennsylvania Man, 53, Drowns On Jersey Shore: Police
A 53-year-old man from Pennsylvania drowned while swimming at a Wildwood Crest beach, authorities said.
Joel Green of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, was found unresponsice by other swimmers who pulled him from the water about 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, Tuesday Wildwood Crest police said.
When police arrived, a beachgoer was performing CPR, police said.
An officer continued giving CPR until Wildwood Crest Rescue and the City of Wildwood Fire/Water Rescue arrived to assume life-saving measures on the man, police said.

Nicholas Reed, 34, Worked As Accountant, Chef
Nicholas Matthew Reed, 34, of Asbury Park, died Thursday in Trenton.
He worked as an accountant as well as a chef, his obituary says.
He was born in Red Bank in 1987 and grew up in Marlboro.
He earned a Master's Degree in Business from Rutgers University. In addition to his work as an accountant, he was a chef for Mogo.
Nicholas enjoyed music, history, soccer, swimming, walking and spending time with friends and family. He will be remembered for his beautiful smile and kind heart.
