Bee Stings Knock Man, 20, Unconscious In Ridgewood
A 20-year-old man who was attacked by bees in Ridgewood was revived before being taken to the hospital, authorities said. The victim was unconscious but breathing, Police Chief Jacqueline Lutchke said after he was stung multiple times in the area of the Stop & Shop shopping center on Franklin Avenue shortly after 10:40 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21. "After receiving epinephrine he did begin to regain consciousness and was transported to The Valley Hospital for treatment," the chief said.

A sedan driver was hospitalized with a serious head injury following a collision with an SUV in Ridgewood. The senior male driver was taken to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood via a village ambulance after his Acura TSX and an Infiniti QX60 collided at Cantrell Road and Highland Avenue shortly before 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21. Loaded Glock, Drugs Seized, Ex-Con Nabbed By Saddle River PD In Route 17 Stop
Saddle River police found a loaded gun and a host of drugs for sale after an officer stopped an ex-con from New York State for tailgating on Route 17. A driver was hospitalized following an afternoon crash at a busy Paramus intersection. The unidentified driver's Nissan Murano slammed into a Honda Accord at the corner of Paramus Road and West Ridgewood Avenue around 2:15 p.m. Friday. Paramus firefighters and EMS workers extricated the man, who was taken by the EMS unit to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. His condition couldn't immediately be determined. Minivan Carrying Developmentally Disabled Occupants Hits Tree in Fair Lawn
At least two people were hospitalized after a van carrying developmentally disabled occupants slammed into a tree Friday afternoon in Fair Lawn. Two victims -- one of whom had a large cut on his forehead -- were taken to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood after the crash at 17th and Columbia streets around 3:30 p.m. Borough police and Fair Lawn Rescue members responded along with ambulances from Bergen New Bridge Medical Center and Paramus. : Teenage Girl, Pets Killed In Bergen County House Fire
An apparently accidental weekend fire that claimed the life of a Bergen County teenager has staggered many in the community where she was raised, as well as others from area towns and beyond. Riley Boyle, 17, was in the shower when the fire broke out close to the rear entrance of the 2½-story Bonnie Way home around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, responders said. The flames quickly spread to a rear hot tub room and a pergola-covered porch, trapping the victim in a bathroom just above the blaze, they said.
