Weekday Saw Mill River Parkway Lane Closures Scheduled
There will be single- and double-lane closures on the Saw Mill River Parkway for more than a week in Westchester as crews perform construction work in the area. The New York State Department of Transportation issued an advisory to motorists warning that there will be weekday closures from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. beginning on Monday, Sept. 24 in both directions of the parkway between the New York City line and exit 5A (Palmer Road) in Yonkers. Route 82 Closure Scheduled For Community Day In East Fishkill
Route 82 will be temporarily closed for a short stretch on Saturday as the Town of East Fishkill prepares for Community Day parade. Each year, the Town of East Fishkill hosts a Community Day for local residents, complete with a parade, vendors, live music, classic car shows and other events geared toward families. This year, Route 82 will be closed from 2 to 2:30 p.m. between Trinka Lane and Church Street as the parade makes its way through the area. Motorists are being advised that King Street in Chappaqua is closed at the intersection of South Greeley Avenue while work is being done by Con Edison. School Bus Hits Utility Pole In Town Of Poughkeepsie
Town of Poughkeepsie police are on the scene of a school bus crash with reported injuries. The crash occurred just before 9 a.m. Wednesday at 2429 New Hackensack Road, Town of Poughkeepsie Police said. Few details were available at this point, including which school the bus served. Busy Yonkers Roadway Closed As Crews Remove Downed Tree
A busy Yonkers roadway will be closed for several hours on Thursday as crews continue efforts to remove a tree from the area following Wednesday’s latest batch of winter weather in Westchester. Rhinebeck Road Reopens After Fatal Crash
Update: Slate Quarry Road in the Town of Rhinebeck reopened in both directions early Wednesday night after an ongoing hazmat cleanup after a serious motor vehicle crash. Those traveling through that area were advised to use caution and allow for extra time, the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office said. The crash occurred in the afternoon, and was a fatality involving a propane truck and a passenger vehicle.
