There was a serious crash in Burlington County, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 9:30 a.m. on Monday, June 26 on Route 206 in both directions North of Route 532/Medford Lakes Road in Tabernacle Township, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation All lanes closed and detoured, 511nj.org reported. Authorities have announced a new planned closure on the Long Island Expressway. The lanes will be closed for approximately three weeks at a time, according to the Department of Transportation, and drivers are encouraged to use the Northern State Parkway in the meantime. Drivers are being warned about weeks of overnight closures scheduled for a portion of the Long Island Expressway. Beginning Sunday, April 23, the westbound lanes of I-495 will be closed nightly between exit 50 (Bagatelle Road) and exit 49 (State Route 110) in the town of Huntington from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for approximately three weeks, according to the Department of Transportation. A stretch of Sunrise Highway is scheduled to close nightly due to upcoming bridge repairs, state officials announced. A Fairfield County city employee is recovering after being dragged by a car of an irate driver for more than 40 feet down a roadway while performing construction work.
