Drivers sat on the Garden State Parkway for hours due to a 19-car crash that closed the northbound of the highway. While no injuries were reported, at least 19 cars were involved in the Bass River northbound crash around 5:30 p.m., authorities said. A trash-hauling tractor-trailer tipped Friday on the Route 46 ramp to the New Jersey Turnpike and Route 80 in Ridgefield Park. The driver escaped serious injury, responders said. Flaming Tractor-trailer Causes Traffic On 495
A trash tractor-trailer has caught on fire and is causing a traffic jam on Route 495. At around 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20, Berlin Police responded to a report of a truck accident on 495 North, between exits 26 and 27. Bolton Fire and Emergency Services have responded as well as Berlin firefighter. Police are asking people to seek alternate routes “as this will greatly affect the morning commute,” police said.

Tire-Toting Tractor Trailer Splits, Tying Up Traffic Off GWB
A tractor-trailer buckled and bent at the westbound Route 4 ramp to Route 95 in Fort Lee during Monday’s morning rush. The mishap occurred shortly before 7:30 a.m., jamming traffic. The delays continued more than an hour while the cargo – used tires – was offloaded to another truck before the trailer could be towed. Fortunately, they'd been stacked in a way that kept them from rolling down the highway. ABC Towing handled the job. No injuries were reported.

A large rental truck crashed on the northbound New York State Thruway in Suffern near the New Jersey exit for southbound Route 17 Friday afternoon, jamming traffic in both directions. Pickup Dumps Concrete In Route 17 Crash In Upper Saddle River
A pickup truck dumped a load of broken concrete on Route 17 in Upper Saddle River Wednesday afternoon, jamming southbound traffic. PARAMUS, N.J. -- One occupant was hospitalized and a dog was taken to Oradell Animal Hospital after a utility pole crash that rolled a Dodge Ram onto its side on northbound Route 17 in Paramus Tuesday night. The crash occurred outside the Popeye's just north of Ridgewood Avenue, closing the right and center lane of the highway and jamming traffic for miles.
