Isaias: Power Now Completely Restored On Long Island, Pseg Says
It took a week, but PSEG Long Island is claiming power has now been fully restored after Tropical Storm Isaias barreled through the region.
PSEG reported late on Wednesday, Aug. 12 that the company has restored power to all 420,000 customers affected by Isaias, though other outages that were identified during the cleanup process still remain.
As of 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13, PSEG is still dealing with 763 other outages that were impacting 2,117 of its 1,162,455 Long Island customers.
PSEG said it is actively restoring power to the remaining customers.

Power has been restored to thousands in Connecticut, but more than 30,000 are still waiting for crews to make repairs a week after Tropical Storm Isaias struck Litchfield County.
As of 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 30,634 of Eversource’s 1,281,332 Connecticut customers were still waiting to have their power turned back on. An additional 174 United Illuminating customers were also dealing with outages.

A week after Tropical Storm Isaias ran roughshod on the East Coast, thousands in Westchester are still waiting to have their power restored.
According to Con Edison, crews have restored power to 98 percent of their customers as of 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11, though 1,127 outages were still being reported, impacting 7,452 of its 360,045 Westchester customers.
NYSEG was reporting complete restoration for its Westchester customers.
