Police are investigating after an 18-year-old Capital District man was found shot in the stomach. Officers in Troy were called at around 11:30 p.m. Monday, July 11, with reports of a disturbance near 5th Avenue and 102nd Street. When officers arrived, they found the victim inside a home suffering from a single gunshot wound to his stomach, Troy Police said. He was taken to the hospital and treated for what was described as a non-life-threatening injury. Four Men Busted With Ghost Gun In Capital District, Police Say
Four men from the Capital District are facing charges after they were allegedly caught with a so-called ghost gun. Troy Police initially stopped their car early Wednesday morning, June 15, near Hoosick and 15th streets. While one officer was speaking with the driver, another officer noticed a handgun, according to police. That’s when two of the men jumped out of the vehicle and tried fleeing on foot, police said. A suspect is in custody after a man was stabbed to death in the Capital District. The attack happened Sunday night, May 15, near Third and State streets in Troy, according to Troy Police.
