A woman has been charged with making a terroristic threat after allegedly threatening to "shoot up" an elementary school in Union Township. Officers were called to Jefferson Elementary School on Hilton Avenue around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, after a principal told them that a student's parent became upset with her and threatened to "shoot the whole place up," local police said. Newark Man, 35, Fatally Struck By Car In Union County: Report
A pedestrian from Newark was fatally struck by a car in Union County, NJ.com reports. Juan Badillo-Gonzalez, 35, was walking on Route 22 east in Union Township when he was hit around 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, the outlet reports citing police. An Acura RSX and Mack tractor/semi-trailer traveling eastbound collided near Exit 11 in Union Township around 8:10 p.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Alejandro Goez said. One person died and another airlifted in a crash with a tractor-trailer on Route 78 in Hunterdon County Thursday, May 26, authorities said. The accident happened around 8:10 p.m. on the eastbound side of the highway in Union Township, New Jersey State Police Trooper Alejandro Goez said. Two left lanes are closed for the investigation.Several emergency vehicles were at the scene as of 8:55 p.m.

A car was struck by a train in Hunterdon County Sunday evening, state police confirmed. The crash occurred on Perryville Road in Union Township just after 4:35 p.m., Tpr. Brandi Slota told Daily Voice. No injuries were reported to the driver or train conductor, Slota said.
