A 19-year-old Ulster County man is facing a felony charge after police say he strangled a victim and then prevented them from escaping.
Saugerties police responded to Underwood Street around 2:45 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, for a dispute that turned violent, according to the agency.
Following an investigation, officers arrested 19-year-old Leon Kellerhouse, of Kerhonkson, on suspicion of felony strangulation, and unlawful imprisonment and third-degree assault, both misdemeanors.

George Trimigliozzi, 56, of Islip, pleaded guilty to corruption, promoting prostitution, and related charges in Suffolk County Court on Monday, Sept. 15. Trimigliozzi is a veteran Suffolk County police officer.

A man set a poster on fire and blocked the entrance at Prendi Laundromat in Uniondale on Saturday, Aug. 30, at 3 p.m., Nassau County police announced.
Officers were called to 922 Front Street after a 53-year-old woman extinguished the flames and dialed 911, police said. A brief search followed, and officers found Curtis Desir, 31, of Brooklyn, and took him into custody without incident, according to detectives. No injuries were reported, police said.
