A Long Island man assaulted a woman with a knife, held her against her will with two children in the house, and barricaded himself in a neighboring home for hours, police said.
Medford resident Mark Reyes, 43, entered the home of a woman on Clover Lane in Kings Park late on Saturday, April 25, and held her against her will overnight, according to Suffolk County Police.

A 14-year-old boy entered a home and then forcibly restrained and touched a victim in Northern Westchester, state police said.
An investigation revealed the boy forcibly entered the victim’s residence on Thursday, Feb. 13 in Cortlandt, state police said.
He then proceeded to forcibly restrain and touch the victim for the purpose of sexual gratification, according to police.

A 24-year-old will spend decades behind bars for his role in a 12-hour crime spree in 2017 that led to the murder of a man in Westchester County.
New Rochelle resident Sincere Smith, 24, has been sentenced to 23 years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter for his role in the death of Mount Vernon resident Trevon Boswell, an intended robbery victim, in 2017.
Smith was indicted with Eric Lee, Allen Copeland, and Leroy Garcia. Between May 21, 2017, and May 22, 2017, for a series of violent events in Mount Vernon, New Rochelle, and Yonkers. All three are now behind bars.

Teen Charged With Rape, Attempted Strangulation Of 19-Year-Old Girl, Police Say
A teen was arrested for allegedly raping and attempting to strangle a 19-year-old woman.
Devon Austin Payne, of Cragsmoor in Ulster County, was arrested by Town of Montgomery Police following an investigation into the Wednesday, Nov. 6, sexual assault, said Town of Montgomery Police Investigator Stephen Ragni.
Payne was charged with felony rape, felony strangulation, aggravated harassment, stalking, assault, and unlawful imprisonment, police said.
He was arraigned in the Town of Montgomery Court and remanded to the Orange County Jail.

A 39-year-old man is accused of trying to kill his 82-year-old mother, who he shares a home with on Long Island.
The incident happened around 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1.
According to Nassau County Police detectives, an 82-year-old victim entered her residence that she shares with her son, Anil Khandpur.

A home health aide allegedly went into the home of a couple in Oceanside and menaced them with a knife, according to police.
On Sunday, July 21 at 9:50 a.m., a 28-year-old woman, who is employed as a home health aide, rang the doorbell at the home of her male patient, 64, multiple times, said police.
The patient’s wife, 68, reportedly opened the door and allegedly saw that the woman was armed with a large kitchen knife, according to police.
