Man Charged With Committing Robberies At Two Subway Stores In Fairfield County, Bank Branches
A Fairfield County man with a lengthy rap sheet has been charged in connection to robberies at Subway and several bank branches in Connecticut. Alvin Robertson, of Bridgeport, has been charged with three counts of bank robbery and two counts of interference with commerce by robbery, U.S. Attorney John Durham announced this week. Robertson has pleaded not guilty to the charges in New Haven federal court. According to the indictment, Robertson allegedly robbed a Subway store on Ethan Allen Highway on May 20 in Ridgefield, and then a second Subway store on Monroe Turnpike in Monroe on July 22.…

Man Admits To Enticing Connecticut Minor To Engage In Sex
A registered sex offender is facing life in prison after admitting to posing as a teenager in an effort to lure a minor to send sexually explicit images and visit him in Connecticut. Andrew Cunningham, formerly of Windsor, has pleaded guilty in New Haven to one count of enticement of a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity, U.S. Attorney John Durham, announced. A Dominican national is facing deportation following his prison stint for trafficking “black tar” heroin into the area. A man who allegedly kidnapped his toddler in Canada, changed his name and came to America was arrested in Connecticut on Friday after more than three decades on the run. Allan Mann, Jr., who has dual Canadian and Ghanaian citizenship, allegedly abducted his 21-month-old, Jermaine Allan Mann, in Canada in 1987 during a court-ordered visit in Toronto. SHELTON, Conn. — A 51-year-old lawyer from Shelton who was arrested last summer on charges of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy pleaded guilty Wednesday to a federal charge of enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity, prosecutors said.
