Connecticut State Police Purchase 800 Body Cams Connecticut State Police troopers will be wearing body camera's later this year. About 800 body cameras will be distributed this summer, state police said on Tuesday, May 29. The state said it received a grant for $895,000 from the U.S. Justice Department to help offset the cost of the new body cameras. Connecticut's state police commander Colonel George Battle has said all troopers will be wearing body cams by the end of the 2018.
