Franklin Lakes Police Continue To Pick Offenders Off Route 208
A trio of Route 208 traffic stops barely 24 hours apart led to four arrests, Franklin Lakes police said Monday.
A stop by Officer Christopher Hefner just after 8 p.m. Saturday turned up warrants on a Bloomsburg couple: Archie Evans, 37, was wanted out of Parsippany and Stephanie Stevens, 38, was wanted out of Mount Olive, Capt. John Bakelaar said.
Six hours later, another highway stop by Hefner led to DWI charges against Jose Pacheco, 48, of Wharton, Bakelaar said.

With law enforcement agencies in the Hudson Valley cracking down on drunk, drugged and distracted driving, several local residents were among more than two dozen who found themselves charged over the weekend.

On Friday, Aug. 17, 2018, State Police in Greenville arrested Adolfo Gonzalez, 37, of Middletown, for DWI. He was traveling in Middletown when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.

Westchester Man Among Three Nabbed In Major Drug Ring Bust
A Westchester man and two Rockland County residents have been charged as being part of a major drug ring that sold fentanyl and heroin at a popular produce market.
Jovanny Torres, 27, of Yorktown, Anthony Antonucci, 34, of Valley Cottage, and Kaitlyn Jefferson, 37, of Thiells were all charged in June as being part of the ring that operated out of the Hunts Point Produce Market in the Bronx, according to the Bronx District Attorney's Office.
The three are part of a ring of 13 people charged in the operation which included the sale of fentanyl, to undercover agents, the DA's Office said.
