2-Car Crash Causes Fluid Spill On Busy Hudson Valley Road A two-car crash in the Hudson Valley caused a temporary closure on a busy road to allow crews to clean a fluid spill.  The crash happened in Putnam County on Friday, Feb. 23 just before 8 p.m., when two cars collided on Croton Falls Road in Carmel, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department. Luckily, no injuries resulted from the collision, fire officials said. The crash caused the road to close for around 30 minutes to allow crews to clean up vehicle fluids and remove the cars.

Police ID Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Driver In Montgomery County Police have identified the pedestrian struck and killed by a Honda driver in Montgomery County earlier this week. The collision occurred on the 9500 block of Georgia Avenue around 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, Montgomery County Police said. A gray 2020 Honda CR-V was heading northbound and struck Khalid Shakir Scriven, who was in the roadway near Flora Lane. Scriven, 27, was pronounced dead at the scene.
