: Stolen Car Pursuit Ends In Fair Lawn Crash
UPDATE: A Bronx man crashed a stolen sedan in Fair Lawn on Wednesday following a pursuit that began in Hackensack. Detective Sgt. John Dalton spotted the 2015 Chrysler 200, reported stolen out of New York, at the Riverside Square Mall around 3 p.m., Hackensack Police Lt. Anthony DiPersia said. When he tried to pull the car over, it sped off on westbound Route 4, he said. Paramus police picked up the pursuit when it hit their town. Motorist In Taconic Parkway Chase Arrested At His Home, State Police Say
A man was arrested at his home after initially eluding state troopers in a chase on the Taconic State Parkway. The chase happened on Friday, May 22 in East Fishkill. At approximately 10:30 a.m. troopers attempted to conduct a stop on a 2006 Dodge Charger for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law on the Taconic State Parkway in East Fishkill. The operator of the vehicle failed to comply, and led the state police on a pursuit that ended at his home in Orange County in Rock Tavern. Police are searching for a man who was allegedly driving a stolen vehicle when he fled from officers and crashed before running away. The incident began in Orange County around 4 p.m., Monday, Feb. 10, when officers attempted to stop a stolen vehicle on North Street in Middletown. Two suspects have been charged after police say they attempted to steal legally grown hemp in the area. Police say they received a call reporting suspicious activity on a farm in Easton on Sport Hill Road on Monday, Oct. 7 around 1:15 a.m. The report stated that the party was attempting to steal legally regulated hemp plants used to produce CDB oil, police say. An Orange County man was busted on drug charges by City of Port Jervis Police and the Orange County Sheriff's Office during a "No Knock" search of his apartment.
