Pair Nabbed In Burglaries Of Nearly 40 North Jersey Concession Stands
Two people were arrested in a string of more than 40 Little League concession stand burglaries occurring across North Jersey since April, authorities said.
Michael J. Kalouis, 31 of Stanhope, and Angela M. Lopez, 34 of Middlesex, broke into dozens of concession stands at pools and recreations centers overnight to take cash, food, drinks, stand appliances and tools, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced Tuesday.
The two were arrested in Wayne and charged with 11 counts of burglary each, Musella said.

Larry Burdett, Ex-Chief And Longtime Member Of The Verona FD, Dies
Larry Burdett, who followed in his father’s footsteps and served as a firefighter in Verona for decades, has died, the township’s fire department said Thursday.
Burdett, who celebrated a birthday Thursday, failed to show up for work, first responders told Daily Voice. He was found at home by police sent on a welfare check.
A lifelong Verona resident, Burdett attended F.N. Brown and H.B. Whitehorne schools before graduating from Verona High School in 1969, according to his bio on the Old Verona web page. He was also an Eagle Scout with Troop 5.

Glen Rock Officer Nabs Pair On Warrants, Driver With Heroin
Both the driver and passenger in a car stopped by a Glen Rock police officer were wanted on outstanding warrants – and had used and unused bags of heroin in their car, authorities said.
Officer Sarah Orsita stopped the erratically-driven vehicle on Lincoln Avenue just after 3 a.m. last Friday, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said.
It turned out that Christopher Delacruz, 23, of Kearny, was driving with a suspended license and was wanted on a warrant out of Verona, Acerkmann said.
Delacruz was carrying 11 glassine bags of heroin, along with several empties, the chief said.
