Newark Police Seek Gas Station Shooting Suspect
Newark Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in connection with a shooting that resulted in an injury on Oct. 22. The shooting happened at around 6:33 p.m. at an Exxon Gas Station in the 300 block of Springfield Avenue, authorities said. When police arrived, the suspect fled through the rear of the gas station and into the parking lot areas of Home Depot and Walgreens, authorities said. Hackensack Rooming House Resident Slashed In Face With Box Cutter, Arrest Made
A man was jailed after slashing a fellow resident’s face with a box cutter during an argument at a Hackensack rooming house, authorities said. Arlando T. McCoy, a 51-year-old manager of a local Walgreens, fled the Euclid Avenue home early Sunday evening but was nabbed by police a few block away, said Capt. Off-Duty Passaic Police Officer Says He Was Shot At In Clifton
An off-duty City of Passaic police officer reported being shot at in Clifton on the way home from work earlier this week, authorities from both cities confirmed. The officer told Clifton police that a Jeep Cherokee with heavy front-end damage was following him when someone in it opened fire at Main and Clifton avenues near the Walgreens around 11 p.m. Monday, they said.
