1,104 New Covid-19 Cases Confirmed On Long Island As State Total Hits 37,258
There were 1,104 new cases of novel coronavirus reported on Long Island as the total number of confirmed cases climbs to 37,258.
In Nassau County, there were 629 new cases reported, bringing the total countywide total to 3,914 since the outbreak began. There were 475 cases in Suffolk, as the total climbed to 2,735.

The novel strain of the coronavirus (COVID-19) has claimed its first life in New York.
An 82-year-old woman with underlying respiratory issues died in a hospital in New York City, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced on Saturday morning, March 14. The woman, who reportedly had emphysema, became hospitalized on Tuesday, March 3.
Cuomo also announced an increase of 103 positive cases since Friday, March 13 as the state has ramped up the number of tests being administered.
